Responsible Breeding

Our primary goal at Osborn Corgis is to ensure that all our corgi babes live a long, happy & healthy life. We are constantly striving to continue our education and research on all things Corgi. As responsible breeders, we only intentionally breed our dogs to guarantee top of the line genetics from parent to puppy. All of our parent dogs are genetically tested for the most common hereditary diseases found in the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Breed. This includes Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Von Willebrand’s Disease Type 1 (VWD1), Progressive Retinal Atrophy Rod-Cone Dysplasia 3 (PRA-RCD3), and Fluffy Locus Coat Length. Since most of our parent dogs are fluffy coat carriers, we also test all puppies at 1 week old for the fluffy coat gene. All our corgis & litters are registered with the American Kennel Club.

We offer a great environment for our puppies, full of socialization. All Osborn Corgis are exposed to other dogs, livestock, & people (including children). We have been extremely particular on the dogs and bloodlines we will incorporate into our breeding program and we are very proud of what we have established!

We require a $250 non-refundable deposit to hold your puppy, this will also go towards the final price of puppy. Once your application is approved, we will provide you with additional information on how to pay your deposit. This will put you on our waiting list for the type of puppy you’d like (color, coat type, sex, etc.)

**Please DO NOT send any money until your application has been approved. I will NEVER ask for money to be sent without application approval confirmation. I also encourage all buyers to schedule a FaceTime meeting prior to sending any money to make the buyer more comfortable.

  1. Wait for Puppy Availability

Once on our waitlist, you will receive updates for all scheduled heats, upcoming litters, birth announcements, etc. This will put you in the constant know of when to expect your new fur baby. If it is your turn to receive a puppy from a born litter, you will pick out your puppy on the litter's 4 week birthday. (At 4 weeks, puppies' personalities have started to develop, this is a crucial factor when matching a puppy to their forever family.)

About Pembroke
Welsh Corgis

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi Breed is a loyal breed that was originally bred to herd livestock. Although they are extremely affectionate and make for great companions and family dogs! Corgis are highly intelligent and very adaptable to train. For having such short legs, Corgis are actually very athletic and make fantastic runners. Fun Fact: Queen Elizabeth II raised corgis all her life, they truly are the Royal Dog Breed! For us, it’s the ears!!
